Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred the 'Guardian of the Blue Horizon', Seychelles' highest honour for leadership in environmental conservation and sustainable development, by Seychelles President Dr. Patrick Herminie during his state visit on June 28, 2026. He is the first recipient of this newly instituted national honour, which acknowledges his global push for green growth, the Blue Economy, and dedication to Small Island Developing States.
