Centre Bans 16 Fixed-Dose Combination Drugs
The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has immediately banned 16 fixed-dose combination (FDC) medications across India. FDCs are pharmaceutical formulations containing two or more active pharmaceutical ingredients in a single dosage form, designed to simplify treatment and improve patient compliance. India Launches 'Operation Amistad' for Venezuela Earthquake Relief
India has launched 'Operation Amistad', an emergency humanitarian mission, in response to devastating earthquakes in Venezuela. This Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) mission involves the deployment of two C-17 Globemaster aircraft carrying approximately 30 tonnes of relief materials, including medical equipment and BHISHM Cube hospitals. A 41-42 member rescue and medical team has also been dispatched to assist with search, rescue, and medical aid.

Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, unveiled a development pipeline of 63 projects worth ₹5,028.17 crore at the 154th foundation day of the Mumbai Port Authority (MPA). These projects include seven inaugurated projects, 34 foundation stone-laying projects, and 22 newly announced projects. The event also saw the exchange of agreements for the Indira Dock Operations and Maintenance Project and the Viksit Bharat Mumbai Marina Project.
