Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) Completes 10 Years, Undergoes Amendments
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) has completed 10 years, strengthening India's credit system by improving recovery rates and reducing Non-Performing Assets (NPAs). The IBC Amendment Act, 2026, introduces reforms to reduce delays, strengthen creditor oversight, and improve procedural clarity. The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) is now required to admit or reject a Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) application within 14 days and pass orders on resolution plans within 30 days.
