India's First LNG-Powered Train Flagged Off
Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah flagged off India's first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-powered train from Sabarmati Railway Station in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Exercise KAZIND-2026 Commences in Kazakhstan
The 9th edition of the India-Kazakhstan Joint Military Exercise, KAZIND-2026, began in Oskemen, Kazakhstan. A 60-member Indian Armed Forces contingent is participating in the exercise, which focuses on strengthening interoperability and joint counter-terrorism capabilities. The exercise aims to enhance operational coordination and mutual trust between the armed forces of both countries.

भारत-कजाकिस्तान संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास, KAZIND-2026 का 9वां संस्करण कजाकिस्तान के ओस्केमेन में शुरू हुआ। 60 सदस्यीय भारतीय सशस्त्र बल दल इस अभ्यास में भाग ले रहा है, जो अंतरसंचालनीयता और संयुक्त आतंकवाद विरोधी क्षमताओं को मजबूत करने पर केंद्रित है। इस अभ्यास का उद्देश्य दोनों देशों के सशस्त्र बलों के बीच परिचालन समन्वय और आपसी विश्वास को बढ़ाना है।
International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste Observed
September 29th is observed annually as the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste. On this day, the FAO highlighted India's need to reduce post-harvest food loss and urban food waste through better cold chains, financing, food recovery networks, and circular-economy solutions. India has developed strong evidence-based models for reducing food loss and waste.

UN Adopts First Declaration on Sea Level Rise

India Secures 10th Position at WorldSkills Competition 2026
India achieved the 10th position at the 48th WorldSkills Competition 2026 held in Shanghai, China, winning 6 Silver Medals and 20 Medals for Excellence. This marks an improvement from its 13th position at WorldSkills Lyon 2024. India sent its largest-ever contingent of 70 competitors across 63 skills.

भारत ने शंघाई, चीन में आयोजित 48वीं वर्ल्डस्किल्स प्रतियोगिता 2026 में 6 रजत पदक और 20 उत्कृष्टता पदक जीतकर 10वां स्थान हासिल किया। यह वर्ल्डस्किल्स ल्योन 2024 में इसके 13वें स्थान से एक सुधार है। भारत ने 63 कौशलों में 70 प्रतियोगियों का अपना अब तक का सबसे बड़ा दल भेजा था।
