Heavy Rains and Thunderstorms in Northern India Cause Fatalities
At least 56 people have died due to heavy rains and thunderstorms in northern India, particularly in Uttar Pradesh. The extreme weather, caused by a depression over the Bay of Bengal, also damaged over 1,000 homes. The India Meteorological Department has noted an increase in such extreme weather events, linking them to rising temperatures and changing climate patterns.
