India and Australia Strengthen Comprehensive Strategic Partnership
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese held the 3rd India-Australia Annual Summit in Melbourne, marking six years of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The leaders reviewed progress in various sectors and signed agreements on maritime security, civil nuclear energy, skill development, emerging technologies, science and technology, and filmmaking. A significant outcome was an agreement for Australia to export uranium to India for peaceful nuclear energy purposes, and the commissioning of a temporary space tracking terminal on Cocos Keeling Islands to support India's Gaganyaan Human Spaceflight Program.
