India and Cyprus Elevate Ties to Strategic Partnership
India and Cyprus elevated their bilateral relationship to a Strategic Partnership during the Cypriot President's visit to India. Cyprus reiterated its support for India's permanent membership in a reformed United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and joined the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative. Sanghmitra Patrol Vessel Launched in Kolkata
The Indian Navy's next-generation offshore patrol vessel, 'Sanghmitra', was launched at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) in Kolkata. This indigenously built vessel is part of India's ambitious program to construct 11 Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels simultaneously at two shipyards. The vessel measures around 113 meters in length and has a displacement of 3,000 tonnes.
